Learn Trade Skills deliver Electrical and Plumbing Courses across the UK. Offering training for both complete beginners and fast track courses for existing trades people, they are one of the UK’s Leading Training Providers based in Cheshunt Hertfordshire.

We partnered with Learn Trade Skills to help drive online course sign ups and target new audiences to join the industry via Learn Trade Skills training. With ample competition in the corporate training space, our mission was to enhance organic performance for the website. Our SEO experts were the people for the job!

// Our Approach

Our SEO experts started with a technical audit, which we advise to most clients as the best opportunity to build strong foundations for SEO success – it allows time for fixing any technical website issues affecting rankings and can influence a wider strategy to ensure long term, sustainable organic growth.  

From this audit we identified and implemented numerous technical updates, including:

• Site speed improvements
• Optex mining
• Meta data, Meta titles and Meta descriptions

Once these technical fixes were done, the next stage of organic optimisation was then all about content and keywords. We not only optimised existing landing pages on the website to ensure search terms and keywords all fed back to more course sign ups, but we also advised on new content creation to help achieve key objectives.

To ensure we were enhancing the use of conversion driving keywords, we analysed data available on Ahrefs and Accuranker to see search volumes for the training sector and used that as a premise for content.

For example, we saw there was around 1,000 searches a month for the terms ‘electrician course UK’ and ‘electrician course for beginners’, and advised we increase the use of ‘electrician course’ on the website to steal some of that traffic. Not only did our SEO work, we saw the Learn Trade Skills website move to the Top 10 for this search term - it also doubled website traffic month on month. We will chalk that up as organic success!
